Here's a recent project.....

The top and shelf are Paduck, the legs, inlay and side supports are Wenge.  The end supports are Walnut.

Here is a little stool I made the other day.  It's all two inch thick Black Walnut with Purple Heart for accent.

I prefer simple lines, the contrast of mixed woods and Danish Oil finishes.  I like to accentuate the wood more than design.  The Japanese traditions and design work well for me in this regard.
